Count a municipality when the journey was actually there
The X/290 total shows municipalities on the map, including visits and routes through them. A night or a stop counts as a visit. A municipality crossed only by a saved route is shown as travelled through only.
That separates two nights in Kramfors from a lunch stop in Örnsköldsvik and a route through Sollefteå. Short. Clear. Each area still leads back to the travel details behind the colour.

Frequently asked questions
How many municipalities are on the map?
The map contains all 290 Swedish municipalities. Each can appear as visited, travelled through or not yet visited.
Do I tick municipalities manually?
No. FARON connects saved overnight stays, stops and route geometry to the correct municipality.
What counts as a visited municipality?
An overnight stay or stop inside the boundary counts as a visit. A route-only crossing is marked separately.
Can I see which municipalities remain?
Yes. The municipality view shows visited and unvisited areas and lets you search for a specific name.
