The archive at a glance
See separate travel memories become one map
Öland in June, Dalarna in September and three motorhome nights along the west coast. The map puts those journeys beside each other while every place still leads back to its own trip.
A list remembers the trips but hides the geography
Trip names and dates explain when you travelled. They do not show the cluster of favourite west-coast stops or the large empty region you have never visited.
A raw GPS history has the opposite problem: plenty of geography, but little distinction between travel memories and everyday movement.
Build the map from meaningful places
Add overnight stays and stops
Each selected place gives the trip a geographic anchor without recording the complete driving day.
See routes in context
Trips connect their saved places so the journey can be understood as more than isolated pins.
Open photos from the map
Places with photos can use round image markers; open a place to browse the images attached to it.
Five seasons, one recognisable travel pattern
A couple has logged short Swedish weekends and two longer European drives. In a chronological list, the relationship is easy to miss.
On the map, repeated regions and new ground become visible at once. Every marker still belongs to a journey, not an anonymous location history.
A map built from your choices
The archive reflects the places and trip details you actively save. FARON does not need continuous background GPS tracking to provide the overview.
Frequently asked questions
What appears on the FARON map?
Your saved trips, overnight stays and stops can appear with the context you added to them.
Can I open a place from the map?
Yes. Map entries lead back to the relevant saved details and trip context.
Can photos appear directly on the map?
Yes. Stops and overnight stays with photos can appear as round image markers. Nearby places form a cluster with one of their images, and the place opens its gallery.
Is the map based on continuous GPS history?
No. It is built from the places and journeys you choose to save.
Can I use a map when mobile coverage is poor?
A specific planned trip can have its relevant map area downloaded in advance for offline support.
