One journey at a time
Keep the route, the places and the small details together
A weekend in Copenhagen, ten days through Lofoten or the annual drive to Öland. Create one trip, add what mattered and let it become part of the same private archive as the journeys before it.
A trip becomes fragmented when every detail lives elsewhere
The route remains in one map, photos in the camera roll and useful notes in messages. Months later, each fragment is available but the journey itself is difficult to reconstruct.
Continuous GPS history is not the only answer. A selected set of nights, stops, notes and images can preserve the route with less noise.
Build the trip from details you choose
Create or plan the journey
Start before departure or add a past trip later. Give it dates and a clear name.
Add nights and stops
Save the places that explain the route rather than recording every movement between them.
Return through the map
Photos, notes and places remain connected to the trip and become part of the larger archive.
Nine days through Lofoten, without a tracking trail
Each evening, a traveller adds the overnight place and one useful detail. A beach stop and a ferry are added on the days they matter.
After the trip, the route is understandable from those chosen points. Compact. Personal. Far easier to revisit than a raw stream of coordinates.
Frequently asked questions
Can I plan a trip before it starts?
Yes. Add planned stops, overnight ideas and checklist items, then continue in the same trip when it becomes active.
Can I add a trip afterwards?
Yes. Past journeys can be added when you still know the dates and places you want to preserve.
Does FARON track the complete route automatically?
No. FARON does not create a continuous background GPS trail. The map uses the places and trip details you choose to save.
Can trips include both overnight stays and daytime stops?
Yes. Both become part of the journey and can carry notes, photos and other context.
