Phone, light, fridge, coffee maker. Four items on a packing list, but four different power needs. For an imagined two-night stay near Mora, I would first leave out equipment that requires a mains socket.
Separate the pitch from your equipment
A pitch without electric hookup has no power connection at the pitch. That does not tell you whether the campsite has a kitchen, showers or somewhere to charge a device. Ask what is included and when shared facilities open before booking.
In a motorhome, refrigeration, heating and charging depend on the actual installation. I would read the manual and ask the rental company which functions work without hookup. Someone else's three-day stay says little about your vehicle.
Try the evening routine at home
Charge the phone and powerbank. Try the light. Check that the cables fit before everything is packed.
I would trial the expected evening use at home: for example, phone and light from 6 pm to 11 pm. Check what remains afterwards. This is a practical trial, not a battery-life guarantee; temperature, battery condition and apps affect the result.
Do not assume a small powerbank can run a mains coffee maker or fan heater. Check its outlets, permitted load and operating conditions. Avoid buying a larger power system before identifying the need it should meet.
Choose dinner around actual food storage
For a short stay, I would choose meals suited to the storage available. Follow food storage instructions; do not assume a switched-off fridge will keep food cold. A shared campsite kitchen may help if access has been confirmed.
Imagine reaching Mora on Friday evening and finding the expected charging option unavailable. A charged light and a meal that does not need the planned electrical appliance provide useful alternatives. If the trip depends on reliable operation of particular equipment, I would book around that need from the start.
Do not replace electricity with a fire hazard
Never use a barbecue to heat a tent or awning. MSB's camping guidance warns about poisonous carbon monoxide from glowing charcoal and wood fuel. Follow campsite rules and equipment instructions for cooking too.
For a first trip, I would keep the stay short and choose a campsite where the plan can be changed. To compare the accommodation types, see the guide to campsites and motorhome stopovers.
Save a place from the weekend
After two nights near Mora, a waterside walk might be what you want to return to. FARON lets you save the night on your map with a photograph and a few words. Log your first night and keep the place with the rest of your trip.
Frequently asked questions
Does no hookup mean no campsite facilities?
No. It describes the pitch's power connection. Ask separately about kitchens, showers and other facilities.
How long will a powerbank last?
Battery capacity and use determine this; try your equipment and plan a backup for essential functions.
Will a motorhome fridge work without hookup?
The fridge energy sources and vehicle installation determine this. Check the manual or ask the rental company.
Can a barbecue heat the tent?
No. Never use a barbecue inside a tent or awning because of fire and carbon monoxide risks.
